A Holiday-Inspired Festive Mountain Wedding | Rachel + Chris
Rachel and Chris are the sweetest people and it was so lovely to spend Saturday capturing their beautiful, winter wedding! After meeting in a Japanese culture class at Penn State, these two got engaged on Christmas Eve so the holidays hold a special place in their hearts. It was only fitting that they chose to have their wedding be filled with those rich, jewel tones and beautiful shimmery lighting that emit a feeling of warmth and community around the holidays.
Their wedding party was made up entirely of family members which truly shows how close these two are with their families. Rachel joins a cool sister-in-law club because Chris has two other brothers and all three of the wives are besties! It’s so cute. Rachel’s niece and nephew were also a part of the wedding party - showing off how important family is to this couple!
Rachel created most of the decor, signs and paper goods for the wedding and I loved capturing her personal touches throughout the day. It was extremely cold but these two braved the “real feel” temperatures in the single digits while Rachel looked like a snow queen in her cloak. They spent a good portion of the day outside from their emotional first look through portraits and their ceremony but it was well worth it. I love winter light and it made their florals look all the more vibrant!
Enjoy some of my favorites from Rachel and Chris’ winter wedding day!
