Monmouth University Summer Engagement | Brigid + Steve

I think Brigid and Steve get to take home the award for hottest engagement session ever. We're in the middle of a heatwave here in Pennsylvania (and pretty much all across the country) and it's a brutal, humid, hellish heat. Brigid and Steve's engagement session got rescheduled already due to rain so we were definitely sticking to our new date no matter what. I know they were excited and anxious to get these memories captured!

Well, the heat index during their session was close to a Heat Index of 103°. This sweet couple was so kind, patient and understanding. They never complained and they were amazing sports considering the circumstances. We were able to document their engagement on the beautiful campus of their alma mater, Monmouth University. The historic and stunningly gorgeous campus buildings served as the most perfect backdrop for their engagement portraits.

Brigid and Steve took me to Woodrow Wilson Hall, formerly known as Shadow Lawn, the 1929 American Beaux-Arts estate that once served as the summer White House for President Wilson. It is also special because it was featured in the movie, Annie, as Daddy Warbuck's mansion (cue me singing show tunes as I edited this morning)! We rounded at their session at the summer residence of the Guggenheim's - now the campus library. Basically... I was in heaven!

I'm looking forward to their equally-as regal-wedding next summer at historic Old St. Joseph's Church (founded in 1733) and the Racquet Club of Philadelphia! Enjoy some of my favorites from Brigid and Steve's magnificent summer engagement session!
