Chester County, Pennsylvania sunset proposal and engagement at Springton Manor Farm

Ahh! It's been so fun this week going back and taking another look at some of my favorite couples to-date. Obviously Emily and Andrew had to make the list. I initially shared their proposal story on my Facebook page the day after their engagement but I thought it should be shared again here as well. It was a total honor to be able to capture this proposal but also play a small role in making it happen. My friends mean the world to me and to see their happiness in person, was so heartwarming. 

I met Emily and Andrew at Penn State in the fall of 2011. They are separately and together the most kind, thoughtful, smart and sweet friends I could ever ask for. Andrew called me on March 13th (one week after I got engaged) and I knew exactly why my phone was ringing! The plan he came up with was perfect and Emily was completely surprised! It was ridiculously hard remaining normal for a week and a half around Emily because I see her so often! Luckily, I was able to help pick out her outfit and get her nails done without giving anything away. Andrew just bought a DSLR camera and wanted to know how to use it. They also have been wanting some photos of the two of them with their dog, Oliver. So we set up a time for me to teach Andrew how to use his new camera and Emily and Oliver were our models. We shot a few images of Emily and I asked her to come look at them on the back of my camera. Once she was looking, I scrolled to a photo of Andrew down on one knee. I had to ask her a few times what she thought of the picture while she figured out what was going on. Andrew and I had taken the solo picture of him down on one knee a week earlier. When she realized what was going on, she turned around and he was down on one knee! She said yes and "this is the best day of my life"! I am so very blessed to have been there to experience and capture all of the moments for them!

I'm so excited to be a bridesmaid for Emily and to see the beautiful memories that Jessica Snider Photography will capture for their October 2017 wedding!
