A Blue Heron Malvern Cozy, Eclectic and Thoughtful Wedding | Michelle + CJ

I could write all day about Michelle and CJ and all of the wonderful adjectives that describe them but I know if you’ve made your way here, you want to see their wedding day photos so I’ll keep this little ode to them succinct.

Having the honor of documenting Michelle and CJ’s wedding day is just something I cannot adequately describe. I’ve known Michelle since college and she is just hands-down the most thoughtful, caring, attentive and sweet friend. Hearing her described again and again as someone who just always has other people on her heart and mind and is truly selfless just had me fiercely nodding my head in agreement all day.

Their wedding day was truly an ode to all of the things that make them such a beautiful couple. Their favorite place to be is in the kitchen together so their intimate reception at Blue Heron, right on King Street in the heart of Malvern, was food-focused with European dinner party vibes. Every moment felt comfortable, intentional and special.

CJ, a very talented chef and baker, made their wedding cakes. Michelle (on top of all of her other hard work planning) embroidered the guests names by hand on every napkin. CJ and Michelle love birding together and all of the salt and pepper shakers on the tables were from her dad’s personal collection. Their guest books were cookbooks for them to use in their kitchen, there was a cake to honor their bestest doggie boy and all of the florals featured in their day, lovingly created by Krista of Heritage Gatherings, were sourced from local farms. Michelle told me that this was “a detail we were very passionate about and wanted to emphasize”.

The amazingly kind and sweet team with Seedling and Sage treated the guests to one of the most incredible coursed dinners while the conversation flowed freely and loved ones took a few moments to share their well wishes to Michelle and CJ as they celebrated their love for each other and their families and friends. We definitely spent a good portion of the day either holding back tears or just dabbing them off of our cheeks.

Michelle and CJ are the kind of people that you truly wish only all the best things in this life. They are goodness and kindness in human form.

I hope you enjoy a tiny snippet of their wedding day photos.
