Fleisher Art Memorial Jewel-Toned Philadelphia Wedding | Katherine + Brad

Katherine and Brad are finally married! I know that for them, it felt like this day would never come and that their engagement was 500 years long but Saturday was worth the wait! K+B are just the coolest people. They are kind, generous, thoughtful and fun. During their reception, it was incredible to listen to the wonderful things that their families and friends had to say about them as people but also about their relationship. I have been privileged to experience their kindness and their fun personalities - but it was cool to hear the people who mean the most to them, tie it all up in sweet little bows.

Katherine and Brad shared their vows at Palumbo Park just adjacent to their reception venue, Fleisher Art Memorial - a visually badass and incredibly powerful space steeped in history.

Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial is a thriving and important community arts center serving over 16,000 people annually through tuition-free classes and low-cost workshops, public school programs, art gallery exhibitions and more. Originally founded and named for the Vice-President of one of the country’s first worsted woolen mills, Fleisher has a rich history, dating back to the late 1800’s of serving the community through providing art classes for lower-income neighborhood children and adults of all races, income levels, religions and nationalities. The main space, as it stands today, where Katherine and Brad hosted their reception, was acquired by Fleisher in 1922. Originally the home of the Episcopal Church of the Evangelist, Fleisher dubbed it The Sanctuary made the old church into a museum and community space. “It was a unique kind of museum; eclectic, accessible and lively, open in the evening, with working people in mind.” THE PERFECT, COOL, PLACE FOR A WEDDING!

And of course, their precious fur baby, Desi, joined us for the ceremony! I just love this good boy. He was Katherine and Brad’s ring-bearer and he bounded down the aisle just when he was called to help his mama and daddy say “I do”!
