Intimate, Whimsical, Tyler Arboretum Wedding | Steph + Zach

I’m trying to finish up this blog post and make it special for Steph and Zach while they’re currently on a plane to Disney World for a masked minimoon. Would it have been appropriate for their photographer to tag along? I can’t wait to see photos from their just-married Disney magic!

When Steph and Zach’s inquiry first landed in my inbox, Steph pointed out that we all went to Penn State along with a few other things that we had in common and led them to finding me and my work. From there, we bonded over Penn State, traveling and of course… Disney! I love how they incorporated their love for all things magical into their wedding day throughout their planning. For example, their guest book had a cute Beauty and the Beast reference and their cocktail hour music was Disney-themed (popular songs from the movies through the years) played on a bass and a saxophone. These touches were so classy and whimsical!

Steph’s maid of honor said in her toast that Steph is everything this world needs right now (and always). And I’d love to add that both Steph and Zach are everything this world needs. They are thoughtful and empathetic yet fearless and bold. Never once during their wedding day or through the entire process of working with them did I feel tired or overwhelmed because they went above and beyond to craft a wedding day (and a marriage) that was effortless and fun. The hours flew by on Sunday and were filled with so much laughter from everyone!

I am so genuinely serious when I tell you that Caity, my dear friend and second photographer, and I talked the entire drive home about how kind and thoughtful everyone was. Having a wedding in a global pandemic is HARD and Steph and Zach chose vendors who aimed to protect them and their guests at every step of the way. I adored this wedding and want to do it all over again!!!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Shiner! Thank you so much for asking me to capture this day for you and thank you for your new found friendship! HAPPY DISNEY-ING!!!!
